ADELAIDE, Australia –The Fletcher Finucane development offshore Western Australia is 93% complete and on track for first oil in mid-year.
The project, in permit WA-191-P in the Carnarvon basin, was sanctioned in January 2012 and involves a three-well subsea tieback to the existing Santos-operated FPSO at Mutineer-Exeter.
All have been drilled and completed, Santos says, while offshore installation of the subsea facilities is more than 60% complete. TheNan Hai 6 rig has demobilized, giving the installation vessel access to lay flowlines and umbilicals into the Finucane well center.
Installation and commissioning of the Fletcher Finucane reception equipment on the Mutineer-Exeter FPSO was completed in Singapore, and the vessel is now back on the field. Once onstream, the project is estimated to deliver 15,000 b/d over the initial 12 months of production.
Offshore Victoria, Santos expects to start an intervention program on thePatricia Baleen facilities between April 29 and May 19, subject to weather conditions.
In February, Santos received sanction for the Peluang gas project at the Maleo gas field offshore East Java, Indonesia. This involves a tieback to the existing facilities at Maleo, and will include one horizontal gas well, a minimum facility stand-alone wellhead platform, and a pipeline to the Maleo platform.
First gas is expected during 1Q 2014, with peak production of 25 MMcf/d (708,000 cm/d). Tenders are out for engineering, fabrication and installation, and procurement has started for long-lead materials.
